How it works
One shape you draw, driven by the clock, aimed at the target you choose
Draw It — The Shape
Click to drop control points on a large screen, drag them to move, and bow each segment with its mid-handle. Straight ramps, smooth humps, exponential curves, anything you can draw.
The shape becomes a looping modulator, a value from 0 to 1 swept left to right across one cycle.
Turn on SNAP and points lock to the grid, including the swung off-beat lines, so a tight rhythm is easy to place.
The exact curve you want, not a preset
Aim It — The Target
Point the curve at one of eight destinations: a resonant low, high, band-pass, or notch filter, volume for tremolo and gating, pan for auto-panning, or a reverb or delay whose wet amount the curve drives.
The CHANNEL selector aims the effect at the full stereo signal, just the mid, or just the side, so you can filter only the centre or wobble only the width.
DEPTH scales how hard the curve drives the destination; MIX blends the result against the dry signal.
One shape, any destination
Drive It — The Clock
Run the curve as a free LFO at a Hz rate, or lock SYNC on and it follows the host tempo at any note division, in time with the host, no setup.
Or trigger it from a sidechain: One-Shot plays the curve once per hit, Loop (Trig) restarts the loop on every hit.
Raise STEREO to split the left and right playheads for wide, swirling motion from a single knob.
Looped, synced, or triggered
What's New in v1.1.0
Orra Pump v1.1.0 points the drawn curve at a reverb and a delay as well as the filters, the volume and the pan. It adds a preset browser with 77 played shapes, a per-target edit view on the TARGET card, and an adjustable grid with swing types. Sessions saved with 1.0.0 load unchanged.
Behavior change in v1.1.0
The self-calibrating duck detector is a deliberate behavior change. The duck now responds to the key's dynamics rather than its absolute level, referencing the key against its own recent peaks, with a silence floor around -60 dBFS so a noise floor cannot trigger the duck. Hot key tracks duck essentially as before, but sessions that relied on a quiet key producing an unintentionally shallow duck will now duck at full depth. Turn DUCK down to taste.
